Laurent Auclair (he/him)

Laurent is a French-Australian playwright and screenwriter. He has published two plays including What Have You Done recently produced at Chippen Street Theatre (dir. Garreth Cruikshank). Laurent has worked as a screenwriter on over 150 television episodes including Home and Away, Tashi, Heidi and The Wild Adventures of Blinky Bill. He has multiple feature film scripts in development, including one that is currently in pre-production and due for release in 2023.

Laurent has published four illustrated books for young adults and a collection of 12 dystopian short stories. He teaches screenwriting at the University of Technology Sydney and is the co-creator of limited podcast series An Ordinary Australian.

Fruit Box Theatre acknowledges the Traditional Owners of country and their continuous connection to lands, water and culture. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. Fruit Box operates primarily on the stolen lands of the Gadigal and Wangal peoples of the Eora nation, of which sovereignty was never ceded.
